Transition into Adulthood Study (TA)

The Transition into Adulthood Study (TA) is a supplement of the Panel Study of income Dynamics (PSID) designed to collect data on all children included in the Child Development Supplements who had turned 18, finished high school, and whose families were still participating in the PSID. Data collected by the TA focuses on the developmental pathways into adulthood. Information relating to respondents contact with the criminal justice system is collected including arrest, probation, and serving time in jail. For each type, respondents are asked whether they ever had contact, age of contact, and type of offense.
