Composition Faculty Dr. Elainie Lillios to visit Marshall University as a featured guest composer

Composition faculty Dr. Elainie Lillios will visit Marshall University as the featured guest composer of their annual New Music Festival, March 1-2, 2-18. Lillios’s music will be played on various concerts throughout the festival, including performances of “Veiled Resonance” for soprano saxophone and live electronics  by BGSU alum, saxophonist Justin Massey and “Sweeping Memories” an abstract animation created collaboratively with BGSU Digital Arts Professor Bonnie Mitchell.  Other pieces include “Among Fireflies” (alto flute/live electronics) “Sleep’s Undulating Tide” (flute/live electronics), and “After Long Drought” (vibraphone/live electronics). Lillios will also present a lecture on her work and meet with Marshall University composition students.
