BGSU College of Musical Arts Represented at MTNA State-Level Competition

On October 15, 2016 the MTNA State-Level Competition was held at Oberlin Conservatory of Music. This year, BGSU College of Musical Arts was well represented with numerous placements.

Congratulations to the following students:

Xiaohui Ma – Senior Piano Winner (student of Robert Satterlee)

Kenneth Cox, flute – Young Artist Woodwinds Winner (student of Conor Nelson)

Erin Cameron, clarinet – Young Artist Woodwinds Alternate (student of Kevin Schempf)

Kendra Heslip, saxophone – Young Artist Woodwinds Honorable Mention (student of John Sampen)

Gretchen Hill, clarinet – Senior Woodwind Performance Winner (student of Kevin Schempf) 

Ultra Violet Saxophone Quartet -- Chamber Music Woodwinds Competition Alternate (coached by John Sampen) -- Kendra Heslip, Christopher DeLouis, Caleb Burkhardt, Christopher Murphy

 

They will all go on to compete in the East Central Division Competition on January 14-15 at Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, MI.
