Do you ever wonder where food comes from? Do you want to know more about the journey from farm to fork? In this camp, children explore the route food takes from the farm to the table and how food is used to fuel their bodies. At Farm 2 Fork, campers will be exposed to local foodways and increase their knowledge of farming and cooking! (Limited to 10 students) 

Camp Details

  • NON-Residential Day Camp
  • Camp Dates:  July 14 - 18, 2025 
  • Camp Times:  9 AM - 3 PM
    • Before/After Care 8:15 - 4:15 for an additional $50    
  • Daily Meals Provided: Student's will prepare their own lunch and snack  

What kinds of activities do campers get to do?

  • Expand their palate by tasting new foods
  • Create healthy meals and snacks using ingredients from local gardens
  • Get hands-on experience learning how to garden
  • Take field trips (i.e. Toledo Grows, Historic Carter Farm) 
    • Field trips subject to change based on speaker availablity and/or inclement weather
  • Vist places on campus like the aquaponics facility
  • Explore the BGSU Recreational Center Rock Climbing Wall and Ice Skating  

Who can attend?

  • Farm 2 Fork Juniors camp is designed for those in 4th - 6th  grade in the fall of 2025

Day Camp Outline 

  • Camp Runs Daily 9 AM - 3 PM 
    • Early/After Care available 8:15 AM - 4:15 PM for additional $50 per student       
  • Campers will prepare their own lunch and snack 

Day Camp Cost

  • $225 - Includes lunch & snack, all materials, activities, transportation and admission fees.   
  • $275 - If selecting optional early/after care

Registration is open until all spots are filled or May 1, 2025

  • Registration Closes: May 1, 2025 or when all spots are filled
  • To secure your place in the 2025 Nutrition & Fitness Camp, a $25 deposit is due upon confirmation of your registration.  
  • Participants are not guaranteed a spot in camp until deposit is made. 

Acceptance and Deposit 

To reserve your seat in camp a $25.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 10 days of receiving your camp acceptance. Participants who do not pay the deposit by the tenth day are removed and placed on the waitlist.

Forms will be collected via CampDocs an electronic health forms and waiver system. Information with a link will be sent to your e-mail.

Camp Cancellation Policy

Refunds for canceled registrations will be issued to the individual or organization that made the original payment, according to the following schedule:

  • On or before May 1: A full refund, minus the non-refundable deposit, will be provided.
  • 21 or more days before the start of camp: A 75% refund, minus the non-refundable deposit, will be provided.
  • 14–20 days before the start of camp: A 50% refund, minus the non-refundable deposit, will be provided.
  • Less than 14 days before the start of camp: No refund will be provided.

Additional Notes:

  • No refunds will be given for "no-shows."
  • Participants dismissed from camp for disciplinary reasons are not eligible for any refund.
