The 2024-2025 Division of Inclusion and Belonging Comprehensive Strategy and Plan

The divisional plan aligns directly with Forward: Our Shared Plan to Create Public Good to advance us toward the goals of the overall university strategic plan.

Strategic Objective I. Driving Public Good Through Redefining Student Success

Initiative 2: Intensive focus on outcomes

• Maintain or increase retention and graduation rates for populations with patterns of opportunity gaps.

Strategic Objective II. Creating Public Good Through Research, Creative Activities, Partnerships and Engagement

Initiative 5: Focusing research, creative activities and athletic competitions

• Apply for at least 10 additional grants or sources of external funding

Foundational Objective III. Powering Public Good Through Our People and Community

Initiative 9: Culture of inclusion, respect and curiosity

• Increase belonging survey positive responses
• Increase survey response by at least 25%

Initiative 10: Teaching and service excellence

• Focus on compliance as aspect of well-being, esp.:
  • CAMPUS Act (s.b. 94)
  • Updating Non-Discrimination in Employment & Education Policy

Initiative 11: Community well-being

• Offer increased dialogue and development programming (e.g., multifaith, civic and political involvement, conflict management)
