EDTL 6220 – Classroom Literacy Assessment and Intervention
EDTL 6280 – Practicum in Literacy Intervention
*Take the OAE Reading test (038, 039) AFTER you have completed EDTL 6280

Submit Your Graduate College Application Online
PREREQUISITES TO ALL GRADUATE READING PROGRAMS INCLUDE:
(a) Current Educator license (b) complete Baccalaureate degree, and (c) completion of 9-12 prerequisite hours of reading course work, depending on current license held.
The P-12 Reading Endorsement includes 15 graduate credit hours. In addition to completing these courses, candidates must pass the Ohio Assessment for Educators Reading Subtest I (038) and Reading Subtest II (039) to obtain the P-12 Reading Endorsement. Once course requirements are complete, candidates will need to submit the following to the EDHD Office of Accreditation and Licensure:
- An Ohio Department of Education Licensure Application
- Associated fees
- An official transcript of final grade
- An official score report confirming passage of the Ohio Assessment for Educators Reading Subtest I (038) and Reading Subtest II (039)
Submit Transcripts & Standardized Test Scores
Send one official transcript from all institutions attended as well as Praxis II PLT scores, OR GRE scores, OR OAE pedagogy scores to

Non-native speakers of English must have a minimum 80 TOEFL IBT, 53 PTEA, or 7.0 IELTS score.
You will receive a notice through email and through direct mail when all your materials have been received!
You will be enrolled in and receive your graduate certificate from the College of Education & Human Development
Receive an Ohio Reading Endorsement from the state of Ohio PLUS 15 hrs toward a master's degree in Curriculum and Teaching or Reading.
