Helping HR Professionals Understand Career Satisfaction

Professor Sherry Sullivan, supported by the O-I Professorship, is making an impact on the human resources management profession through her work exploring careers and career satisfaction. In one of her recent publications, she identifies the cost of nepotism on workplace engagement and career satisfaction, providing valuable insights and best practice recommendations for HR professionals on the impact of policies and behaviors in their organizations. Although focused on nepotism, the insights and policy recommendations provided will also help support other fear-based employee silence areas of concern including harassment and equity, thus leading to increasingly inclusive workplace practices.
