After the meetings, the Leadership Council hosted a reception to recognize Schmidthorst College of Business faculty and staff for their success in quickly adapting to remote learning during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Wem laming know that over the past two years you have been faced with a heck of a situation because of COVID-19,” said Michael Laming, Chair of the Leadership Council, during a toast to the faculty and staff. “We are all impressed at how you exhibited the leadership and fortitude to make the most of online teaching and on behalf of the Leadership Council, we wanted to say thank you.”

The reception was held in the Atrium of the Maurer Center. Advisory board members had the opportunity to network with faculty, staff, fellow advisory board members, and student ambassadors.

Schmidthorst Student Ambassador, Dagmar Chapin, spoke about how the Schmidthorst College of Business has positively changed her life and expressed her thanks to the faculty and staff for all the hard work they do for the students.
