Swathi Ravichandran

Swathi Ravichandran is a professor and founding director for the Six Flags Entertainment Corporation resort and attraction management program at Bowling Green State University. Prior to BGSU, she was on the faculty of the hospitality management program at Kent State University for 14 years. She also served as the provost’s fellow during 2017-18 and has generated $1.6 million in grants for projects related to enhancing student access to higher education and degree completion. Ravichandran was named distinguished educator of the year by Professional Convention Management Association in 2014. In 2015, the 131st general assembly of Ohio, named her one of “Ohio’s finest educators.” Ravichandran’s research focuses on hospitality human resources management and marketing. She has been published in several prestigious peer-reviewed journals and served as a commissioner for the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration. She has blogged for Restaurant Hospitality and EasyIce.com on human resources and legal issues and also has been invited by international universities as a speaker and research fellow. She has taught a variety of classes in human resources management, marketing, legal issues, and meetings management and advised for Kent State’s chapter of the Professional Convention Management Association. Ravichandran has a doctorate in foodservice and lodging management from Iowa State University, where she also received an MBA.
Jared Hillman

Jared Hillman is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Six Flags Entertainment Corporation resort and attraction management program at Bowling Green State University. Jared holds over a decade of experience within the hospitality industry. The scope of his experience significantly involved the amusement park segment of the industry at Cedar Point Amusement Park and Resort, a Six Flags Entertainment Corporation property. Jared’s leadership and management positions have focused primarily in ride and attraction operations; marketing and group sales; and human resources, with a passion for international recruiting. He has co-developed and facilitated leadership conferences and development opportunities for aspiring leaders. Hillman has received numerous awards and recognition at Cedar Point for top performance and positive impact. He enjoys visiting a variety of parks and resorts, as well as traveling abroad. Jared is a proud alum of Bowling Green State University.
Sung W. Lee

Sung W. Lee is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Six Flags Entertainment Corporation resort and attraction management program at Bowling Green State University. He holds a Ph.D. in Hospitality Management from The Pennsylvania State University. His research interests include pricing strategies, revenue management, consumer behavior, distribution strategy, and the applications of artificial intelligence in hospitality and tourism. Before transitioning to academia, Dr. Lee built nearly two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, serving in leadership roles at both property and corporate levels with Hilton Worldwide, Marriott International, and IHG Hotels & Resorts in major markets including New York City and Hong Kong. His scholarly contributions have been recognized through multiple distinctions, including top-three placements in the 2024 ICHRIE Level Up Revenue Management Competition and the 2024 ICHRIE Hotel Management Challenge. He also served as faculty advisor for the finalist and top-three teams in the STR & ICHRIE Student Market Study Competitions in 2022 and 2023. Most notably, he was selected as the winner of the 2025 CHRIE FutureFund Dissertation Proposal Competition.

Megan Bond serves as the Coordinator and Adjunct Professor for Six Flags Entertainment Corporation RAAM. Bond comes to the program with an extensive administrative background, including work in higher education. In her current role, Bond’s duties include day-to-day administrative operations, such as scheduling and budget, and overseeing program events and student engagement. Bond is a 2009 and 2011 graduate of Bowling Green State University. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing and a Master of Education, specializing in Sport Administration. Bond worked for the BGSU Men’s Basketball staff, as the Director of Operations, for five seasons under Head Coach Louis Orr.
Carrie Boldman

Carrie Boldman is an adjunct professor for the Six Flags Entertainment Corporation resort and attraction management program at Bowling Green State University. She is a graduate of Ohio University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics with a concentration in Fashion Merchandising.
With over 25 years of experience in brand strategy, business development, retail, and park operations within the attractions industry, Carrie has held many leadership roles at top-tier companies. During her tenure with The Walt Disney Company, she served as Director of Product Development & Design for Disney Parks, where she contributed to several major growth initiatives. These included the launch of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, the openings of Hong Kong Disneyland and Disney’s Aulani Resort & Spa in Hawaii, and the debut of Disney’s third cruise ship, the Disney Dream. Carrie also spent three years living and working in Japan, proudly serving on the opening team of Tokyo DisneySea, Disney’s second theme park in Japan.
Following her time at Disney, Carrie returned to Ohio to be closer to family and raise her two young daughters. She joined Cedar Fair Entertainment Company as Corporate Vice President of Merchandise and Games, where she spent eight years driving revenue growth and enhancing guest satisfaction through strategic planning and innovation.
In April 2021, Carrie was appointed to Vice President and General Manager of Cedar Point, making history as the first female general manager in the park’s 150-year history. Under her leadership, the park successfully navigated post-pandemic recovery, celebrated its 150th anniversary, and delivered numerous capital improvements across rides, infrastructure, and dining experiences.
Carrie retired from Six Flags in December 2024 and is now enjoying well-deserved weekends off.

Andrea Brock serves as the Director of Data and Digital Advertising Strategy at Bowling Green State University, where she has spent more than 15 years in marketing and communications. In her current role, she leads advertising initiatives designed to engage diverse audiences, including the RAAM program and its partnership with Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, where she developed communications such as the FunTV commercial. Andrea previously held marketing and communication roles at Owens Corning and Victoria’s Secret. She is a proud Bowling Green State University alumna, holding an MBA and bringing extensive experience in both higher education and corporate marketing.
Justin Harris

Justin is an experienced first chair trial lawyer who has tried dozens of cases in both state and federal courts for almost two decades. Justin has worked extensively in the pharmaceutical, health care, oil & gas, amusement & entertainment park, and corporate worlds and industries. While Justin’s primary focus is trial work, he is experienced in a multitude of disciplines and subject matters, including multidistrict tort actions, class action lawsuits, oil and gas matters, products liability claims, real estate matters, medical malpractice claims, government/public entity issues, employment & labor law matters, and amusement park industry matters.
Justin began his career practicing in a law firm located in southern Ohio. In 2006, Justin opted to join Reminger because the firm shared his same "hard work, roll-up-your sleeves approach and get-it-done" attitude.
Since joining Reminger, Justin has represented national pharmaceutical and medical lab companies, the world’s largest oil company, national health insurers, Germany’s largest automotive manufacturer, and one of the biggest amusement park companies in the world. He has led teams to resolve class actions, derivative litigation, government enforcement actions and other complex business litigation confronting these companies.
In 2016, Justin left Reminger to serve as the Law Director for the City of Sandusky. In this capacity, Justin coordinated and managed litigation involving the municipality, and provided counsel on issues including real estate, tax, employment, public utility, zoning, and comprehensive economic development and strategic planning.
In 2018, Justin returned to Reminger, bringing the tenacity of being a former Law Director to his representation of clients in high-stakes commercial litigation and class action defense.
Presently, Justin serves as National Coordinating Counsel for Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, L.P. In that role, Justin works with a team of Six Flags Entertainment Corporation outside counsel litigators dedicated to achieving industry leading and cutting-edge results.
Justin is a member of various professional associations. Justin is a board member of the Erie County Public Defender Board and the Wightman-Wieber Foundation. Justin also serves as an adjunct professor for Bowling Green State University in the legal studies department.
Danielle Heffernan

Danielle Heffernan began her Career with Six Flags Entertainment Corporation in 2017. She currently serves as Manager, Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability, for the largest and most diverse amusement park operator in North America with an impressive portfolio of 42 parks in the United States, Canada and Mexico. In her role, she works across the organization to lead and drive the CSR strategy with programmatic focus on Associates, Environment, Community, Safety, and Governance.
Prior to her current role, Danielle served as Manager, Cooperative Learning Partnerships for Cedar Fair where she launched the first-of-its-kind Resort & Attraction Management bachelor’s degree program in partnership with Bowling Green State University.
A proud Ohio University alumna, Danielle holds both a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and a master’s degree in Recreation Management. Residing in Vermilion, OH, Danielle is an avid lover of the Lake Erie Islands and an active leader in the local community. She currently serves as the President of the Kelleys Island Chamber of Commerce, further demonstrating her dedication to supporting the region she calls home.

Joanne Mueller is a high-energy, strategic leader with a passion for attracting, engaging and developing diverse teams to meet the future needs of organizations. She has led and motivated teams at both corporate and field levels through fast-paced, change-agent cultures, ensuring metrics and goals are executed consistently. Joanne has a strong business acumen, highlighted by her education and 30+years of practical experience, including 15 years in an executive role.
Joanne currently serves as Director, People & Culture Business Partnering at Lululemon and she previously served as Vice President, Human Resources at Cedar Point.
Surain Scott

Surain Scott has worked in the amusement park industry for 14 years. He is currently a Regional Director of Workforce Management at Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, where he has oversight of labor planning and management for; Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH, King's Island in, Mason, OH, Michigan's Adventure in Muskegon, MI and Six Flags Darien Lake in, Buffalo, NY.
Surain has spent the past 4 years in workforce management, learning the operations of various departments, and focusing on labor optimization, operational planning and labor policy/law adherence.
Prior to this, he spent 10 years working in the Retail division at Cedar Point. He held various roles in the retail division, the last of which was the Area Manager of the Retail Warehouse where he was responsible for the daily warehousing and logistics of product for the Merchandise and Games departments, and the logistics of outbound shipments for Legacy Cedar Fair parks.
He is a proud alum of Bowling Green State University, where he received his MBA. Before moving to the United States, he received a Bachelor’s of Science in Management Studies, with a double minor in Economics and Accounting, from the University of the West Indies in Jamaica.
