About the NORTech Robotics Competition

The NORTech Invitational is a regional robotics competition aligned with the National Robotics Challenge, designed to cultivate 21st-century technology skills and strengthen the STEM workforce pipeline.

Our mission: To engage students in grades 6–12 through hands-on engineering challenges that develop problem-solving, innovation, and technical skills critical for future careers in advanced manufacturing, automation, and robotics.

These challenges provide opportunities for students at all experience levels to apply engineering principles in real-world scenarios.

Unlike other robotics contests, NORTech eliminates mandatory kits and reduces entry costs, enabling schools to allocate resources toward materials and tools that best fit their designs. This approach promotes creativity and technical adaptability key competencies for emerging industries.
