The SMI Percussion Camp is new in 2019! Percussion camp offers a dynamic musical experience for any high school percussionist. The week-long program, taught by BGSU faculty and graduate students, will include lessons, master classes, world music, chamber ensembles, and several performances.

Students are typically entering 9-12 grades and have usually had private instruction, although this is not a requirement. The camp staff encourages each student to prepare major scales, etudes and solo repertoire prior to arrival at camp.

A daily recreation time is scheduled for campers. The beautiful BGSU Recreation Center has swimming pools, weight rooms and basketball courts, and is adjacent to the music building. Experienced counselors will also organize a variety of group activities for the campers

Some scholarship money is available, including the Dorothy M. Price Scholarship, which requires an application form. Please check the Scholarships page for more information.
