Lauren Matkaluk, Ph.D.

Dr. Lauren Matkaluk is an Assistant Professor of Accounting in the Department of Accounting and Information systems at Bowling Green State University, Ohio. She holds a PhD in Accounting from Arizona State University, and a MS in Accounting and BS in Accountancy from the University of San Diego. Her current research focuses on the impact of regulation and reporting standards on financial reporting and audit quality. She also researches the role of audit partners' experiences on career portfolios and audit quality. Her teaching experience includes auditing and financial accounting. Prior to obtaining her PhD, Lauren worked as a senior accountant for Sempra Energy and as an external auditor for Grant Thornton LLP. Lauren is a certified public accountant licensed by the California Board of Accountancy.
