Bravo Music Awards

To be assured full consideration for a Bravo Music Award, students must audition on or before February 23, 2019.

At Bowling Green State University, talent-based music scholarships are called Bravo Music Awards. These talent awards begin at $1,000 per academic year. Approximately 40-45% of the students enrolled in the College of Musical Arts receive a Bravo Music Award.

Music scholarships are awarded to incoming students to recognize musical achievement and potential. In addition to the audition, other criteria may be used in determining recipients of music scholarships such as GPA, test scores, and music theory placement results.

Awards to incoming freshmen are renewable for four years. Awards to transfer students majoring in music are renewable up to a total of four academic years, counting full-time study at both the previous institution(s) and BGSU.

Bravo Music Awards will be mailed to recipients the last week of March, so that notification is received by the beginning of April. The letter and contract will contain specific information about retaining your award each semester.
