Congratulations to First year Master’s composer Chace Williams on his upcoming premiere in Xi’an, China. He will be at Xi’an Liangjiatan International School from May 20th to May 24th as a composer in residence. The XLIS Intermediate Band will be premiering his piece for young band entitled ‘The Battle Approaches’. On Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 8 p.m. at the Toledo Museum of Art’s Peristyle Theater, Toledo Symphony Music Director Alain Trudel will lead a breathtaking program that brings together three famous Russian composers: Rimsky-Korsakov, Borodin, and Stravinsky. The concert on Saturday evening also features the world premiere of Samuel Adler’s Tuba Concerto performed by the Toledo Symphony’s very own David Saltzman who is also the Tuba and Euphonium instructor at Bowling Green State University.Sep 25, 2018 6:09 PM The 39th Annual Bowling Green New Music Festival – October 17-20, 2018
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio —The 39th Annual Bowling Green New Music Festival will showcase the work of more than 30 guest composers and performers October 17-20. The four-day international festival includes concerts, lectures and an art exhibition. This year's featured guests include Pulitzer Prize and Grawemeyer Award-winning composer Aaron Jay Kernis, the ensemble Hub New Music, and artist Sha Sha Higby.
