Professor Arne Spohr Serves as Scholar-in-Residence at the Herzog August Bibliothek Wolfenbüttel (Germany)

From November 10 to December 19, 2025, Dr. Arne Spohr, Professor of Musicology, is serving as a Scholar-in-Residence at the Herzog August Bibliothek in Wolfenbüttel, Germany. Invited by Professor Peter Burschel, Cultural Historian at the University of Göttingen and Director of the library, he is advancing his book project on music, sound, and power in early modern pleasure houses and gardens. The Herzog August Bibliothek—one of Europe’s leading centers for early modern studies—is also providing research funding for his work.
