The BGSU Campus reStore
The Office of Campus Sustainability is working to reduce the amount of solid waste generated on campus while conserving natural resources through the practice of "re-use" at BGSU!
The BGSU Campus reStore
Operated by Campus Sustainability to reduce landfill waste and offer a wide variety of gently-used, donated items from campus to BGSU students, faculty, & staff!
The Campus reStore is located in the McDonald Hall Annex which is the northern subsection of the McDonald Residence Hall. Campus ReStore patrons should enter through the sliding glass double-doors off of College Avenue, across from Life Sciences.

2026 was BGSU’s Office of Campus Sustainability’s 24th annual "When You Move Out, Don’t Throw It Out" (WYMO) program, a campus-wide reuse and waste-reduction initiative! WYMO collects still-usable, but unwanted, items from students as they're moving out from the residence halls to prevent these items from getting sent to a landfill.
These items are then offered to local nonprofits as well as given back to the BGSU community at special reStore events throughout the year.
Non-profits/Charities benefitted in the past have included:
City of Bowling Green City Schools Athletics Program
Goodwill Industries of NW Ohio
St. Thomas More University Parish Food Pantry
St. Vincent de Paul Non-profit Thrift Store
On Campus:
BGSU Office of the Dean of Students
BGSU Office of International Programs and Partnerships
BGSU School of Art First Year Programs
Any many more!
