Internship Details

CHARACTERISTIC	Internship
GOAL	Provides students with practical experience related to their major that will enhance and complement their classroom learning.
NUMBER OF SEMESTERS	One semester/summer, either full-time or part-time.
YEAR IN SCHOOL	During late junior or early senior year.
WORK ASSIGNMENTS	Students will work in the same position at the same level of challenge throughout their work assignments.
TRAINING	Less training by employer than cooperative education.
PAY	Most marketing internships are paid, some are volunteer.
CREDIT	Students receive a transcript notation: COOP 050, 0 credit hours
POST GRADUATION OPPORTUNITIES	Provides a competitive edge over students without experiential education.
