Whether you’re looking for personal training, group exercise classes, or specialized older adult fitness classes, there’s something for everyone. Find something that fits you and enjoy movement in a fun, motivational environment! All Falcon Fitness staff members are certified in first aid and CPR/AED.

Julia loves being part of Falcon Fitness, especially the time she shares with the dedicated Older Adult Fitness crew. She enjoys starting her mornings instructing classes and bonding with such a hardworking, lively group. There’s never a dull moment, and she can’t help but smile from ear to ear throughout every class. Outside of the gym, Julia enjoys spending time with her pup, Zeus, and her cats, Lenny and Larry.

When she’s not in the gym or at work, Lauren loves spending time with her husband — who loves powerlifting — as well as with family and friends. She also enjoys getting lost in a good book. Lauren is passionate about making sure everyone feels welcome in the gym. Whether someone enjoys dancing, walking, or strength training, she’s dedicated to helping them discover what they love most.

Sam believes the human body is intelligent by design, and that we often overcomplicate things. Her philosophy is to listen to your body, challenge it, and embrace positive change. Outside the gym, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their four young daughters. Sam loves long bike rides, playing pickleball, getting lost in a good book, soaking up the sunshine, and indulging in plenty of reality TV — especially Survivor, which she dreams of being on one day.

As a former college soccer player, she enjoys playing and watching soccer, as well as running and working out. Outside of exercise, Chloe loves spending quality time with her family and friends.

As a BGSU alum with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Shannon was thrilled to join the Falcon Fitness staff. Her fitness journey began as a student attending group exercise classes at the Student Recreation Center, so returning as an instructor feels like coming full circle. Outside of teaching, she enjoys running, reading, traveling — especially to sunny beaches — and spending time with her husband and their two dogs.

Shawn is looking forward to helping senior patrons stay fit and active. As a retired teacher, Shawn has a long-standing connection to BGSU, having brought students to the Rec Center and taken classes there during her college years. She loves the water and enjoys activities like kayaking, as well as crafts and reading. Shawn is proud to be part of the Falcon community and is enthusiastic about supporting others on their fitness journeys.

Kate loves sharing her passion for yoga and mindfulness with the Falcon Fitness community. Outside of yoga, Kate enjoys spending time outdoors in nature, hosting gatherings for friends and family, discovering new coffee shops, reading, and sewing.

Adrienne loves being part of Falcon Fitness because it brightens her day to help others truly enjoy exercise while building connections within the Falcon Fitness family. Staying active is one of her favorite pastimes, and in her free time, she enjoys choreographing for the BGSU Dance Program. When she’s not teaching, training, or keeping active, you’ll most likely find her spending time with loved ones or snuggling up with her three sweet kitties.

Kevin believes that, no matter the client or their goals, staying injury-free is always the top priority. From there, he tailors every workout to fit each individual’s needs and keeps an open line of communication to make sure they feel supported and are getting exactly what they want out of their training. Outside of the gym, Kevin is a major film nerd who could talk movies all day long — or even all training session, if you’re interested. Growing up reading and watching Siskel and Ebert, he’s wanted to be a film critic since he was a kid.

Sarah has been teaching for over 3 years and has taught a variety of formats such as Heavy Bag Kickboxing, HIIT, Strength Training, Women on Weights, Core Fire, Stretch & Sweat, Zumba and more! Her main passion is Group Fitness for the love of exercise in a fun and social setting. When she’s not at the Rec Center, Sarah enjoys walking, spending time with friends, and being outdoors.

Rebekah loves the balance of working hard and resting fully, and she’s passionate about the empowering journey that yoga offers. Yoga has been a vital part of her own path toward healing and strength, and she enjoys helping others discover their own. Community is powerful, and Rebekah invites everyone to experience the challenge, fun, and calm of her Vinyasa classes — especially the rewarding feeling of simply lying back and breathing after a good sweat. Outside of teaching, she loves spending time with her cats and is interested in yoga, intersectional feminism, jazz, fashion, and anime.

She’s also a swimmer on the BGSU Women’s Swim and Dive Team, specializing in breaststroke and IM. In her free time, Grace loves to bake and enjoys coaching swimming.

Matthew is a junior in the Exercise Science Pre-PT program at BGSU. Before becoming a personal trainer at the Rec Center, he worked as a fitness trainer at Planet Fitness in Sandusky. Certified through NCSF, Matthew has experience helping people of all ages achieve their fitness goals. In his free time, he enjoys bodybuilding-style workouts and continuously learning how to improve his routines. He’s excited to work with individuals from all backgrounds to help them reach their goals.

Regina is a junior studying exercise science at BGSU with a strong interest in fitness and human anatomy. As a long-distance runner on the BGSU women’s cross-country and track team, she is passionate about running and sports performance. Certified as a personal trainer through ACSM, Regina is excited to help others achieve their fitness goals and support them in leading healthy lifestyles. In her free time, she enjoys visiting local coffee shops, taking walks in scenic parks, and baking delicious treats.

Jodi loves motivating others to achieve personal success one step at a time. She celebrates small, realistic wins, knowing they build the foundation for even greater triumphs — especially when that first step can feel like the hardest.
A Northwest Ohio native, Jodi holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a Marketing focus, along with a Master’s in Workforce Development and Education from Bowling Green State University. Since catching the Falcon Fitness “bug” in 2012, she’s never looked back. In her free time, she enjoys playing sports with her kids, spending time with family, and savoring the peacefulness of a good run.

Claire loves creating unique fitness classes and watching participants grow stronger and more confident. Her training philosophy is simple: consistency is key. She provides the guidance and motivation — you bring the effort. Claire believes in finding a fitness routine you truly enjoy, balancing regular workouts and healthy habits with the freedom to indulge now and then. As a former athlete, she brings a competitive edge to her classes and is always ready to help people push their limits. Outside the gym, Claire enjoys making light of herself with humor, spending quality time with her family, and gardening in the warmer months.

Ashley loves being part of Falcon Fitness because it allows her to share her passion for fitness and dance with people of all ages. Outside of teaching, she has been breeding and showing rabbits for the past 20 years, helping with local 4-H clubs and judging rabbit showmanship and meat pens across Northwest Ohio. Ashley lives with her husband on their 150-year-old farm in Pemberville. She is also a former professional cheerleader for the MLS Columbus Crew and AHL Cleveland Monsters. She’s also a proud graduate of The Ohio State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a Minor in Dance and Agribusiness.

Nailya is originally from Kazan, Russia, and came to the U.S. in 2011 for a summer job on Middle Bass Island before making Northwest Ohio her home. She began her yoga practice in 2012 and quickly fell in love with how it benefited both her body and mind, which inspired her to share that experience with others. Nailya has been teaching yoga since 2017, and her classes focus on long, intentional holds paired with gentle flow and movement. Outside the studio, she loves spending time with her family — walking, biking, canoeing on the Maumee River, gardening, taking photos, traveling, and more. Her favorite quote is, “Treat others the way you want to be treated.”

Sekai loves being part of Falcon Fitness because it gives her the opportunity to help others reach their goals while making fitness fun and enjoyable. She believes fitness shouldn’t be complicated—it should be something people look forward to! A former athlete, Sekai’s passion for working out started on the field and has carried over into her role as a personal trainer, where she uses that same energy to motivate and inspire others.
Outside the gym, Sekai enjoys hiking, traveling, and exploring new ways to move her body. Whether it’s discovering an unfamiliar trail or trying out a different style of exercise, she’s always looking for ways to stay active. With long-term goals of becoming a physical therapist, Sekai is dedicated to helping people live healthier, stronger lives.
