Parking Services
Notice: BGSU Parking Services is in the process of upgrading our current parking management system. In December, we will transition to AIMS parking software, a new virtual permit management system. This change is part of our ongoing commitment to improve the parking experience on campus. More information will be provided soon.
Bowling Green State University Parking Services is upgrading our parking management system as part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the parking experience on campus.
To accommodate this upgrade, the following changes will be temporarily implemented:
- Online and in-person permit purchases and citation appeals will be unavailable starting at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12.
- All student citations that have not been paid will be transferred to student Bursar accounts on Friday, Dec. 13. These citations will be payable through your student Bursar account after 10 a.m.
- Faculty and staff will not be able to pay citations online after 4 p.m. on Thursday Dec. 12. Payments may be made in person until noon on Friday, Dec. 13.
From Dec. 16 to Jan. 2, no permits will be required to park on campus. Pay to Park lots will still require payment. Parking in grass, drives, fire lanes, loading docks, reserved spaces and unauthorized ADA spaces are prohibited and will be enforced 24/7. Regular permit restrictions will resume at 7 a.m. on Jan. 2.
You will receive an update with the go-live date for the new parking portal in the coming weeks. If you already have a current permit, your vehicle(s) will remain active, and no action is required on your part. The new portal will be accessible through Manage Parking in MyBGSU once the system is live.
If you have questions, contact Parking Services at 419-372-2776 or email parking@bgsu.edu.
We are here to manage and coordinate all of BGSU's employee, student and guest parking needs. We strive to reduce parking congestion and improve pedestrian safety through the sale of permits, fair and consistent application of the parking regulations, and the promotion of our transportation system/shuttle services.
Attention Visitors: The PayByPhone mobile app is available as a contact-free payment option for visitor short term parking on the main campus. For more information, visit our Permits page and click on the Visitors tab.
