Visitor Parking on Campus

Visitor parking is available at various locations throughout campus for both short term and all day parking.

If you are attending an event on campus, check here for information about event parking. 

Parking Information:

  • Monday to Friday: A parking permit or payment is required from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
    • The following parking lots require payment or permit only until 6:00 PM
      • Lots 16, 1, N, C
    • The following parking lots require payment or permit only until 5:00 PM
      • Lot 18, 10, 24, L, U, M, I               
  • Saturday: The Bowen-Thompson Student Union (Lot 7) requires payment from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. No permits or payment are required in other lots (except Lot 7) from 7:30 PM Friday until Monday at 7:00 AM. Lot 7A is reserved for Admissions guests only until 4pm.
  • Saturday and Sunday: With the exception of Lot 7, no permit or payment is required to park on campus from Friday at 7:30 PM until Monday at 7:00 AM.
  • Some areas may be reserved for events or athletic events, with additional payment required.

At BGSU your license plate is your permit as all our permits are virtual.  If your vehicle does not have a front license plate, that vehicle may NOT back in or pull through a parking space. The license plate must be visible from the drive aisle. Vehicles must be parked in a marked parking space. Fire lanes, Reserved Spaces, and Handicap parking spaces are enforced 24 hours day.

Mobile Payment Apps:

  • Visitors may purchase a day pass by visiting the Parking Services Office located in the College Park Office building, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. These permits are $10 per day and allow parking in most parking lots on campus. Permits are valid from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. for the date of purchase. A day pass can also be purchased using the PayByPhone app with a processing fee per transaction.  
  • There are Pay kiosks located in parking lots N, 7, 6, and X. Kiosks take cash, coin or credit card at the rate of $1 per hour. Please note that the kiosks are unable to distribute change, so please use exact amount.
  • Electric Vehicle Charging Stations are available on campus in lots A, E, 8, and 20. Electric Vehicle charging locations.  Charging stations are reserved for drivers who are actively charging their electric vehicles.  Vehicles parked in an electric vehicle charging station parking spot are required to be charging and pay for time while they are charging. Rates are $1.00 per hour and a max of two hours is allowed. Electric vehicle charging stations are enforced 24/7 including weekends and holidays.
