Education Scenarios

We have classroom environments with students sitting at desks or tables, offices and teacher workrooms for these scenarios. The age options for students are lower elementary, upper elementary, middle school, or high school. Some environments can include a student with a learning disability, an English language learner, or a student on the autism spectrum. The behavior and attitudes of the avatars can range from low pushback to high.

  • Intervention for Individual Student

Learner works with an individual student to complete a task.  Learners should provide appropriate levels of support for student.

  • Lesson Introduction with Focus on Student Engagement

Learner introduces a lesson. Objectives can be to focus on student engagement, manage avatar behaviors, or focus on questioning techniques.

  • Classroom Management: Gain Attention & Establish Expectations for Group Work

Learner will gain the avatars’ attention by using a consistent learning signal; learner will establish group expectations for behavior during small group work.

  • Classroom Acclimation First Day of Field Experience

Learner talks with a small group of avatars to make connections and offer support to students.

  • Reinforcing Positive Behavior in Group Work

Learner engages with a small group of avatars and reinforces positive behavior by responding to positive displays and ignoring negative displays.

  • Creating an Inclusion Environment in Group Work

Learner engages with avatars assigned a task to complete as a group; learner establishes norms that allow all avatars to play a meaningful role in work.

  • Formative Assessment during Group Work

Learner engages with avatars working on a lesson as a small group and questions avatars to assess their understanding of the topic.

  • Family Conference - Scheduled School Conference

Learner conducts a family conference. The reason for the conference could be a scheduled school conference, a student grade drop, and a concern over student behavior.

  • First Meeting with Classroom Mentor Teacher

Learner conducts a meeting to introduce her/himself to CMT, asks about expectations, classroom policies, student needs, etc.

Professional Scenarios

We have a variety of environments, including offices, health care settings, home settings, restaurants, hallways, and much more. We also have a variety of avatars to help create the scenario you are looking for.

Customer Service
  • Handling a Difficult Customer

Learners attempt to defuse an escalating situation by demonstrating empathy and active listening skills. Can be used in corporate, hospitality, food service, or healthcare settings.

Sales Training
  • 1 on 1 Sales Pitch

Learners attempt to sell a product to a hesitant customer. This simulation practices building a rapport with a customer and requires learners to use strategic questioning to better understand the customer’s situation.

  • Group Sales Pitch

Learners pitch a product or business idea to a group of potential investors. This simulation practices building a rapport with investors and requires learners to clearly and effectively communicate why their product or idea is worth investing in. 

Mock Interviews
  • Interview with a potential employer 

Learners engage in a practice interview as a potential job candidate. This simulation practices demonstrating professionalism and clearly and effectively answering relevant questions. Can be used for practicing job interviews in any field. 

  • Interview with a potential employee

Learners assume the role of a hiring manager to practice interviewing a potential job candidate. This simulation practices demonstrating professionalism, strategic questioning, and active listening. 

Mock Performance Evaluation
  • Meeting with a Supervisor

Learners assume the role of an employee receiving feedback from a direct supervisor. This simulation practices demonstrating professionalism, active listening, accepting constructive criticism, and problem solving. 

  • Meeting with an employee

Learners assume the role of a supervisor giving feedback to an employee. This simulation practices demonstrating professionalism, giving constructive criticism, and formulating an action plan with realistic and measurable goals for employee performance improvement.

Engaging in Difficult Conversations
  • Navigating a hostile work environment

Learners assume the role of a supervisor who must mediate a conflict between two employees. This simulation practices conflict mediation, active listening, and problem solving skills.
