Clinical Mental Health Counselor, private practice

“While in the program, I had a significantly positive experience while working with the faculty. Not only were my professors amazing, but the experience of being advised was my best experience ever. Regarding faculty, I honestly liked every single one of the professors that I had for every single one of my courses. They were always there to answer a question or to help me with anything that I needed.

My dream job has been private practice and I am already able to go for it! I feel like this is truly because of the invaluable education, guidance, and experience that I received because of choosing BGSU for my graduate program.”

School Counselor, Sandusky City Schools

“BGSU has always had a special place in my heart. I applied to several other graduate programs, but BGSU was my ultimate choice because I knew I loved the campus, small class sizes, helpful faculty, and the school counseling program is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).

The faculty in the Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling program at BGSU are passionate and helpful in making you the best counselor you can be. The experience I gained in the classroom of planning a yearlong school counseling curriculum and practicing various counseling skills when working with individuals or groups of all ages helped me to be confident in my ability as a counselor. Many employers were very impressed with my professional portfolio and I started my full-time school counseling job three days after graduating.”
