Counseling Program Evaluation Outcomes

In accordance with the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs’ (CACREP) standards, the Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and the Master of Education in School Counseling Programs (CMHSC) annually collect and share data reports. These reports include descriptions on enrollment, graduation, post-graduate employment, and a range of evaluation measures and feedback from constituents. Annual Performance Evaluation and Outcomes Report

79 students were enrolled in 2024-2025

As part of the Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling Programs’ Comprehensive Evaluation Plan, the programs collect comprehensive assessment data which may include data from courses, survey data, faculty information, exit surveys, site supervisor evaluations, employer surveys, and program data. Part of our ongoing comprehensive program evaluation, the Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling Programs’ Annual Performance Evaluation and Outcomes Report includes updates on current faculty, summary evaluation data, and subsequent program modifications. Additionally, the program includes some program, faculty, and student accomplishments.

Current reports available include the CMHSC Annual Program Evaluation Reports for 2023-2024 and 2024-2025.

In 2024, the BGSU counseling programs celebrated their 75-Year Diamond Anniversary.

Of note in 2021-2022, both faculty and students were recognized for profession-related accomplishments, and EDHD’s reconfiguration was reviewed and approved by faculty, governance committees, and the BGSU Board of Trustees. The M.Ed. in School Counseling and the M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling are now part of the newly created School of Counseling, Higher Education, Leadership and Foundations (we were formerly in the School of Counseling and Special Education).

100% of CMHC and SC students were employed as a counselor within 90 days of graduation

In 2025, there were over 140 applications to the CMHSC programs

The Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling Programs’ Annual Vital Statistics Survey Report to CACREP provides snapshots of data about the programs including program enrollment, graduation rates, licensure test pass rates and student and faculty demographic information.
