M.Des. in Integrative Design

The M.Des. degree focuses on developing flexible and resilient design leaders versed in emerging tools, methods and processes for taking on collaborative and integrative design problems that reside in a variety of complex systems and social issues.

The BGSU School of Art is not currently accepting students into the MDES program. 

The Master of Design (M.Des.) in Integrative Design at BGSU is a low-residency, online hybrid program that supports the growing need for designers with creative, adaptive, and strategic skills. 

The M.Des. is a terminal degree in the design discipline, focused on developing flexible and resilient design leaders versed in emerging tools, methods and processes for taking on collaborative and integrative design challenges.

The degree requires significant course work in design research, theory and methods through individual and collaborative projects addressing complex problem-solving through creating connective, human-centered design experiences.

The M.Des. in Integrative Design culminates in an oral defense and thesis exhibition.
