National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week is an opportunity to learn, ask questions, and build skills around alcohol awareness and safety. Throughout the week, the Office of Health and Wellness offers a variety of events and hands-on learning experiences designed to provide practical information, encourage healthy decision-making, and help students look out for themselves and their friends.

Candy Cab
Monday, Oct. 19

Catch a ride, grab some candy, and learn something new. Hop on the Candy Cab as we drive students around campus, sharing quick tips and facts about alcohol awareness along the way.

Campus Police: BAC Challenge
Wednesday, Oct. 21

Join Campus Police at the Union for an interactive look at how alcohol can affect your coordination and perception. Try on BAC goggles and see how different levels of impairment can change the way you move, think, and react.

Join the Dean of Students at the Union to learn tips and tricks for staying safe around alcohol and looking out for your friends. Stop by to learn about amnesty protections, how to help a friend in need, and how to call for help without worrying about getting in trouble.

Mindful Mixology

Teaching Kitchen at The Oaks Dining Center

Join Sara Kirk and the Wellness Ambassadors in the Teaching Kitchen for a hands-on mocktail experience. Learn how to create delicious, alcohol-free beverages while discussing healthy decision-making and the reasons people choose to stay alcohol-free. Space is limited; meal swipe or $14 admission.

Join us for Monster Mash, a Halloween night filled with spooky fun at the Rec Center. Take on the escape room, explore campus ghost tours, grab some snacks, show off your costume, and compete for prizes — plus plenty more throughout the night. You don’t want to miss this spooky night filled with fun!
