BGSU High School Honors String Festival
The 2019 BGSU High School Honors String Festival will be on Saturday, September 21 from 12:30 to about 9:30 p.m. We welcome intermediate to advanced string players who are eager to develop their talent & musicianship.
Interested students should consult with their parents and, either their High School Orchestra Directors, or Private Teachers before filling out the Registration Form.

Campus Parking is free on weekends.
$35 per student (includes dinner, t-shirt, snack, music charges and expenses for the guest violinist).

Music for Participants:
Registered participants: download the below parts for Danny Elfman's "Music from Spiderman." ALL participants will perform Spiderman in a side-by-side performance with the BGSU Philharmonia.
Advanced students who would like to perform with the BGSU Philharmonia in a movement of John Williams' Signature edition of "Star Wars Suite" should email Dr. Brown directly.

1:45 – 2:30 Sectionals & String Techniques Sessions, CMA Faculty & graduate students
2:30 Snack, fruit and bottled water
2:45-3:45 “Side-by-side” Rehearsal with BG Philharmonia
3:45-5:00 Henrik Karapetyn, guest violinist: Introduction to Improvisation
5:00 Dinner at University cafeteria, Carillon Place
6:00-6:45 Yoga Stretch-Out Session
6:45 Change into Concert Dress
7:00-7:45 Run-through with BG Philharmonia
8:00 – Grand Finale Concert.
Tickets will be provided for family of all High School participants.
