Sept. 9, 2025 Spring 2026 advising appointments begin 
Oct. 31, 2025 Open enrollment for spring 2026 classes begins
Jan. 9, 2026 Last day for required spring 2026 advising appointment
Jan. 12-May 1, 2026 Regular Spring Session 
Jan. 12-Feb. 27, 2026 First Seven-Week Session 
Jan. 19, 2026 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, No Classes 
March 2-6, 2026 Spring Break, No Classes 
March 9-April 24, 2026 Second Seven-Week Session 
April 24, 2026 Last Day of Classes 
April 27-May 1, 2026 Final Exam Week 
May 6, 2026 Final Grades Posted by 5 p.m. 

Important Dates for Spring Semester 2026

15-Week Regular Spring Session (January 12 – May 1, 2026)

Jan. 12, 2026 Regular Spring session classes begin 
Jan. 18, 2026 Last day to add classes for students who have had their required academic advising appointment 
Jan. 25, 2026 Last day to drop classes or withdraw without penalty 
Jan. 26, 2026 Students dropping a class on or after this date receive a “W” grade on BGSU transcript. Financial penalty may be imposed by school district 
April 3, 2026 Last day to drop class, but still maintain enrollment. Dropping will result in a “W” grade on BGSU transcript. Financial penalty may be imposed by school district 
April 24, 2026 Last day to withdraw from the term. Withdrawing will result in a “W” grade on BGSU transcript. Financial penalty may be imposed by school district 
April 27 – May 1, 2026 Final exam week 

First 7-Week Session (January 12 – February 27, 2026) 

Jan. 12, 2026               First 7-week session begins 
Jan. 14, 2026 Last day to add classes for students who have had their required academic advising appointment 
Jan. 16, 2026 Last day to drop classes or withdraw without financial penalty and no “W” appears on BGSU Transcript 
Jan. 17, 2026 Students dropping a class on or after this date receive a “W” grade on BGSU transcript. Financial penalty may be imposed by school district 
Feb. 18, 2026 Last day to drop a class or withdraw from the term. Withdrawing will result in a “W” grade on BGSU transcript. Financial penalty may be imposed by school district 
Feb. 27, 2026 Last day of classes 

Second 7-Week Session (March 9 – April 24, 2026) 

March 9, 2026             Second 7-week session begins 
March 11, 2026 Last day to add classes for students who have had their required academic advising appointment 
March 13, 2026 Last day to drop classes or withdraw without financial penalty and no “W” appears on BGSU Transcript 
March 14, 2026 Students dropping a class on or after this date receive a “W” grade on BGSU transcript. Financial penalty may be imposed by school district 
April 15, 2026 Last day to drop a class or withdraw from the term. Withdrawing will result in a “W” grade on BGSU transcript. Financial penalty may be imposed by school district 
April 24, 2026 Last day of classes
