April 3, 2026 Open enrollment – fall registration begins
Aug. 21, 2026 Last day for required Fall 2026 advising appointment
Aug. 24 – Dec. 11, 2026 Regular Fall Session
Aug. 24 – Oct. 9, 2026 First 7-Week Session
Sept. 7, 2026 Labor Day, No Classes
Oct. 5 – 6, 2026 Fall Break, No Classes
Oct. 14 – Dec. 4, 2026 Second 7-Week Session
Oct. 19 – Dec. 4, 2026 Second 7-Week Distance/eCampus Session
Nov. 11, 2026 Veterans Day Observed, No Classes
Nov. 25 – 27, 2026 Thanksgiving Break, No Classes
Dec. 4, 2026 Last Day of Classes
Dec. 7 – 11, 2026 Final Exam Week
Dec. 16, 2026 Final Grades Post after 5 p.m.

Important Dates for Fall Semester 2026

15-Week Session (Aug. 24-Dec. 11, 2026)

Aug. 24, 2026 15-Week Classes Begin
Aug. 30, 2026 Last day to add classes for students who have had their required academic advising appointment
Sept. 6, 2026 Last day to drop classes or withdraw without penalty 
Sept. 7, 2026 Students dropping a class on or after this date receive a “W” grade on BGSU transcript. Financial penalty may be imposed by school district
Nov. 13, 2026 Last day to drop class, but still maintain enrollment. Dropping will result in a “W” grade on BGSU transcript. Financial penalty may be imposed by school district
Dec. 4, 2026 Last day to withdraw from the term. Withdrawing will result in a “W” grade on BGSU transcript. Financial penalty may be imposed by school district
Dec. 7 – 11, 2026 Final Exam Week 

First 7-Week Session (Aug. 24-Oct. 9, 2026)

Aug. 25, 2026 First 7-Week Session Begins 
Aug. 26, 2026 Last day to add classes for students who have had their required academic advising appointment 
Aug. 28, 2026 Last day to drop classes or withdraw without financial penalty and no “W” appears on BGSU Transcript 
Aug. 29, 2026 Students dropping a class on or after this date receive a “W” grade on BGSU transcript. Financial penalty may be imposed by school district
Sept. 30, 2026 Last day to drop a class or withdraw from the term. Withdrawing will result in a “W” grade on BGSU transcript. Financial penalty may be imposed by school district
Oct. 9, 2026 Last Day of Classes 

Second 7-Week Session (Oct. 14-Dec. 4, 2026)

Oct. 16, 2026 Last day to add classes for students who have had their required academic advising appointment 
Oct. 18, 2026 Last day to drop classes or withdraw without financial penalty and no “W” appears on BGSU Transcript
