Accounting Advisory Board
The Accounting Advisory Board is comprised of successful alumni and friends of the Department of Accounting and MIS. The Board draws upon their professional expertise to advise the Dean, Department Chair, and faculty on strategic planning, curricula, student mentorship, co-ops, job placement, career development, faculty engagement with industry, and alumni affairs. In addition, the Board promotes the Department by highlighting the achievements of faculty, students, and alumni in their professional network. The Board meets once or twice per year. Members are expected to attend meetings and be available to advise the Chair between meeting(s).

Experience:
Sally has worked on numerous and diverse projects across Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management,Financial Crimes, and Analytics service lines for Fortune 500 companies and major global financial institutions. She specializes in Anti-Money Laundering (AML), transaction monitoring, Know Your Customer (KYC), gap analysis, and banking procedures. Sally is also recognized as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Suspicious Transaction Reporting and regulatory compliance. With a strong ability to translate Laws, Rules and Regulations across various industries, into effective Policies and Procedures, Sally quickly grasps complex processes to deliver clear test results and audit reports.

Mr. Muro serves as an Internal Audit Manager. He joined Welltower Inc. in May of 2019. Jason Rager leads Nationwide’s Risk Data & Analytics team within Enterprise Risk Management. In this role, he is responsible for advancing the enterprise operational risk framework, integrating converged operational risk management practices, and overseeing risk data governance and risk intelligence capabilities.
Prior to his current role, Jason led the Corporate Services team within Internal Audit, providing assurance and advisory services across Nationwide’s corporate functions including Investments, Finance and Treasury, Controllership, Enterprise Risk Management, Legal, Marketing, Human Resources, Strategy, Corporate Development, and Nationwide Realty Investors. Jason began his career at Nationwide in 2006 as an auditor on the Nationwide Financial audit team, where he focused on banking, mutual funds, life insurance, annuities, and retirement plans. Before joining Nationwide, he spent four years as an auditor with a private credit union deposit insurance company.

Chris leads the Financial Services Practice at CBIZ, the 7th largest accounting firm in the U.S. He brings over 30 years of experience in accounting, financial management, and leadership within the professional services industry.
Since joining CBIZ in 1998, Chris has held several senior leadership roles. In January 2014, he was named President of the Financial Services Group, where he is responsible for setting the strategic direction and driving the growth and performance of the division.
Chris is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). Nick is an Audit Partner in KPMG’s Department of Professional Practice, assisting audit teams and clients with complex accounting, financial reporting and audit issues.
Nick joined KPMG after two years as a Professional Accounting Fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) where he worked with registrants, standard setters, auditors and other SEC staff on the application of US GAAP. He led the consolidation and equity method topic team at the SEC and also focused on matters related to revenue recognition, business combinations, digital assets and income taxes.

Tracy has more than 27 years of audit experience in a variety of service offerings and industries, such as process and industrial products, retail/distribution, and real estate. Tracy also assists with the engagement quality review process for multiple SEC registrant audits. Tracy’s experience includes three years working in the firm’s national office, primarily in the Accounting Consultation group assisting on a variety of technical accounting matters. Tracy was previously the audit leader for the Cleveland office.
Tracy has a strong background in Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 on internal controls, SEC financial reporting, accounting and auditing technical matters, global coordination, and implementation of new accounting standards.
