Scholarship and Grants
There are a wide variety of scholarships offered for entrepreneurship students listed below. Specific eligibility for each scholarship can be found by clicking each link.
Brent Nicholson Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship memorializes Dr. Nicholson by recognizing student achievement in entrepreneurship. The 2021-2022 recipients are Erika Prusak and Hannah Wilhelm.
Brian V. Sokol Entrepreneurship Scholarship: This scholarship provides assistance to entrepreneurship students in the Schmidthorst College of Business. The 2021-2022 recipient is Hannah Wilhelm.
David S. Hainline Entrepreneurship Scholarship: This scholarship was established to support a student in the Schmidthorst College who is actively participating in Entrepreneurship classes. The 2021-2022 recipients are Joseph House and Hannah Wilhelm.
Gary A. Schuetz Entrepreneurial Scholarship: This scholarship is available to any student who has declared an Entrepreneurship minor. The 2021-2022 recipients are Erika Prusak and Kaleb Sowards.
James G. and Nancy Cleveland Family Scholarship: This scholarship was established to encourage continued progress in Entrepreneurship by assisting students in financing their education at BGSU. The 2021-2022 recipient is Joseph House.
Joseph F Ziemianski Entrepreneur Scholarship: This scholarship recognizes students registered for the Entrepreneurship minor who are actively involved in the campus community. The 2021-2022 recipient is Cole Sonner.
Larry L. Miles Entrepreneurial Scholarship: This scholarship is available to a full-time undergraduate student who has declared a minor in Entrepreneurship and demonstrates strong leadership skills. The 2021-2022 recipient is Jade Rush.
Norman R. Seaman Memorial Scholarship/Entrepreneurship: This scholarship recognizes a student in the Schmidthorst College of Business who demonstrates an understanding of the history of free enterprise and an interest in entrepreneurship. The 2021-2022 recipient is Lindsey Berg.
R&V Warnsman Entrepreneurial Scholarship: This scholarship recognizes a student who is minoring in Entrepreneurship and has good academic standing. The 2021-2022 recipients are Sean O’Donnell and Amber Polzin.
Lewis Becker Fund: This scholarship was established to provide financial need to a student who has a major in the Schmidthorst College of Business and a minor in Entrepreneurship. The 2021-2022 recipient is Kathryn Greenwell.
Alissa Czisny ’09 Entrepreneurship Scholarship: The 2021-2022 recipients are Grace Clouse, Ashley Dilley, Lindsay LaPinta, Julia Martorano, Justin Pandy, Elijah Rich, Reese Shull, Reece Stammen, and Reece Wheeler
Entrepreneurship Seed Capital Fund: A collection of money that is available to fund student startup ideas. The fund is available to current students and past Hatchlings.
