Kelly Taylor came to the BGSU in August 1998 after teaching high school journalism and advising award winning high school publications for nearly 10 years. Championing the value of student media, Taylor serves as chairwoman of the BGSU Student Media Advisory Board and actively participates on the board of the Ohio Scholastic Media Association, which serves high school publications in the state. In 2018, the College Media Association awarded her the Reid H. In addition to her work at the university, Taylor teaches journalism workshops and judges publication writing and design contests in the region. She maintains a valid Ohio high school teaching license. In her spare time, she volunteers at St. Aloysius Catholic Church and enjoys scrapbooking and working puzzles.
