Grace Meier received the top poster presentation award for her research project with associate professor Jenjira Yahirun titled “The Relationship Between Social Class and Levels of Happiness Among Different Racial Identities” at the BGSU Center for Undergraduate Research and Scholarship (CURS) Symposium. She will continue at BGSU in the fall to pursue her doctorate in sociology.
Brynn Drabek spoke at the Leadership Luncheon with guest speaker Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine. Brynn spoke on her experience as a podcast production intern with BGSU DePo.
Dominick Hall was selected to speak at a BGSU Foundation Board dinner in April.
Kylie Vorhees was chosen as the April Student of the Month for both the Fashion Merchandising and Product Development program and the College of Education and Human Development for her leadership within her program. Kylie will be working as a visual coordinator at Abercrombie & Fitch in their global home office in Columbus. “This scholarship has meant so much to me throughout my time at BGSU, not just financially, but in allowing me to focus on my education, get involved on campus and make the most of my college experience.”
Isaiah Van Slyke created an interactive website game, “BeHerd.” The goal: help young boys learn how to recognize and manage their emotions in a healthy, engaging way. This project won the Gold Addy award through the American Advertising Federation.
