Mary-Kay-Inkrott

Mary Kay Inkrott Hiser, M.Ed

Mary Kay has worked with the Thompson Working Families Scholarship since August 2016 and oversees all aspects of Thompson Scholarship Programs, which is the Student Services & Programming/Retention piece of the scholarship. She enjoys getting to know her students and helping them reach their goals. Mary Kay is a two-time BGSU graduate (2005: Bachelor’s - Sport Management; 2006: Master’s - Sport Administration) and has worked over 15 years in higher education, previously in athletics and academic advising. She loves spending time with her husband Scott and two daughters, attending BGSU Athletics and community events, and being outdoors.

Payne-Kristin

Kristin started with Thompson Scholarship Programs in June 2018, transitioning over from the College of Arts & Sciences where she served as an academic advisor. She is a 2003, and 2008 BGSU graduate with a BA in Film Studies, and a MA in College Student Personnel. Kristin has over a decade of higher education experience including admissions, recruitment, academic advising, and teaching. She resides in Perrysburg, Ohio with her partner Benjamin, their three lively children, German Shepherd puppy, and super cool cat.

Kayla joined the Thompson Scholarship Programs team in June 2019. She is a two-time graduate of BGSU (2013 & 2018) with a BS in Education and MA in College Student Personnel. She has experience in Career Services, Transfer, Academic/Undecided Advising, and Study Abroad. She lives in Bowling Green with her husband and two dogs.

Nankivell-Jason

Jason started with TFS as a Graduate Advisor getting his Master’s degree in the College Student Personnel program at BGSU- and now he is working full-time with the program. He graduated from Purdue University in May 2018 with a BS in Environmental and Ecological Engineering. Jason was heavily involved with orientation programs in his undergraduate experience, and the culture of inclusion and collaboration among diverse student groups led him to the field of student affairs. Jason was born and raised in Bettendorf, Iowa and loves sports and traveling whenever he gets the opportunity.

Do-Dae-lyn

Dae'lyn started her journey with TFS in May 2019 working as a Graduate Advisor while she received her Master’s degree in the College Student Personnel from BGSU. She now works full-time with the program as a Coordinator. Dae'lyn is originally from Oklahoma where she graduated from Northeastern State University with a bachelor's degree in political science and public relations and advertising. She was heavily involved with student government and the student newspaper during her undergraduate experience, serving as both the student body president and editor in chief of the newspaper. Her experience as a first-generation, low income college student led her to the field of student affairs. She is passionate about helping future college students in the same way so many university professionals helped her. In her free time, Dae'lyn loves hiking, baking, gardening, board gaming and adventuring with her husband and two pups.

Malendowski-Nick

Nick Malendowski

Nick Malendowski is a 2nd year Graduate Advisor for the Thompson Scholarship Program and is a Master's student in the College Student Personnel (CSP) program at BGSU. Originally from Chesterfield, MI, Nick graduated from Central Michigan University in May 2021, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Psychology, along with a minor in Family Studies. Throughout his undergraduate career, Nick was heavily involved on campus through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions as a Campus Ambassador, a New Student Orientation Mentor, and as a research assistant through the College of Health Professions. He has always been passionate about helping others find their voice and their passions, leading to his career in Higher Education and Student Affairs. As a first-generation college student, he aims to make higher education more accessible and equitable for all students. Outside of work and school, Nick enjoys trying out local (iced) coffee shops, watching reality TV, and laughing with friends, but most importantly, making memories that will last a lifetime!

Marianne started working with Thompson Scholarship Programs in April 2021 but has been working at BGSU since July 2002. Previously with the Student and Academic Services office in the College of Education and Human Development. She has enjoyed being oncampus and interacting with the students.

Diefenbach-Ashleigh

Ashleigh is a 1st year Graduate Advisor for the Thompson Family Scholarship Program. She graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education in 2022 and decided to continue her educational journey at BGSU. During her undergraduate degree, Ashleigh was a Campus Tour Guide, a front desk clerk at Centennial Hall, an active member of the Falcon Marching Band, and participated in quite a few student organizations. She hopes to help students find their place and passion during their college experience. Outside of school, Ashleigh enjoys attending concerts, binge-watching Netflix, and taking her cat on walks. 

Jon McCullough

Jon McCullough is a Graduate Advisor for the Thompson Scholarship Program and is a 2nd year in BGSU's College Student Personnel (CSP) Master's program. Jon is originally from the northwest suburbs of Chicago and graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor's of Science in International Studies specializing in Security and Intelligence. After graduating from Ohio State, Jon spent two and a half years at Ohio University in Athens working for Hillel, one of the campus' Jewish student centers, helping engage and empower the Jewish student body on campus and support them in their experiences. His passion for helping students recognize their potential and navigate their college experience is what drives his work in higher education. In his spare time Jon enjoys playing video games, watching anime, or trying out a new recipe he found on TikTok.

Jessica Patton is a 1st year Graduate Advisor for the Thompson Scholarship Program and is a Master's student in the College Student Personnel (CSP) program at BGSU. Jessica graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications along with a minor in Women's Studies. Throughout her undergraduate career, Jessica was involved in the Division of Diversity of Belonging working in the Office of Title IX and with the Center for Women and Gender Equity. She is passionate about social justice issues and came to work in Higher Education and Student Affairs because of the support she received from those at BGSU. Outside of work and school, Jessica enjoys spending time with her partner and their dog and five cats as while as kayaking, knitting, and thrifting.
