2022 BGSU Falcon Choral Festival!

Audition Information

Applicants should fill out the online application form and upload an audio recording by September 25.  Singers may choose one of two options for their recording submission:

·      Option 1: A class A or B solo from the OMEA Solo and Ensemble required repertoire list.  (Previously recorded selections for an OMEA Virtual Solo and Ensemble Event or OMEA All-State Choir auditions are acceptable.)

OR

·      Option 2: Excerpts from the following 2 selections for the 2022 BGSU Falcon Choral Festival.

o   “Homeland” Grace Coberly

  •        Measures 17-24

o   “I Will Be a Child of Peace” arr. Elaine Hagenberg

  •        Measures 33-42

o   Please record both excerpts using the provided guiding audio track and upload as a single audio file

  •   A PDF of the excerpts can be found here

Festival Highlights

· 8:30 AM Registration

The day will include rehearsals, sectionals, and workshops with Dr. Schnipke, the Collegiate Chorale and other members of the BGSU College of Musical Arts Faculty. There will also be an opportunity for festival participants to attend rehearsals of Volaré (formerly Women’s Chorus) and Men’s Chorus and to interact personally with current BGSU students.

· 8:00 PM Concert with the BGSU Collegiate Chorale

· Registration includes lunch and dinner at the BGSU Oaks Dining Hall.
