MIXED CHORUSES

A CAPPELLA CHOIR, COLLEGIATE CHORALE, UNIVERSITY CHORAL SOCIETY
All university students are invited to audition for the BGSU mixed choruses. To audition for the A Cappella Choir, Collegiate Chorale, or University Choral Society, please sign up for a time at Link TBA. Auditionees are asked to bring a prepared piece and will be asked to sight sing.

A CAPPELLA CHOIR (MWF 1:30-2:20)
The A Cappella Choir is a select ensemble of approximately forty singers.
Dr. Adam Luebke is the director of the A Cappella Choir.

COLLEGIATE CHORALE (MW at 2:30-3:20 and TR at 2:30-3:45)
The Collegiate Chorale is a highly select ensemble of approximately thirty singers.
Dr. Richard Schnipke is the director of the Collegiate Chorale.

UNIVERSITY CHORAL SOCIETY (Tuesday evenings 7:30-9:30)
The UCS is a symphonic chorus that performs major works with orchestra and consists of students, university faculty, university staff, and community singers.
Dr. Adam Luebke is the director of the University Choral Society.
 

VOLARÉ and UNIVERSITY MEN’S CHORUS

VOLARÉ (MWF at 12:30 – 1:20)
Volaré (formerly University Women’s Chorus) is a large ensemble consisting of students with a variety of majors. Click on Link TBA to complete the required online audition for the chorus. All women interested in the chorus should attend the first rehearsal with Dr. Emily Pence Brown on Monday, August 26 at 12:30 in the College of Musical Arts, Room 1040.

UNIVERSITY MEN’S CHORUS (MWF at 12:30 – 1:20)
The University Men’s Chorus is a large ensemble consisting of students with a variety of majors. Those interested in the chorus should attend the first rehearsal with Dr. Richard Schnipke on Monday, August 26 at 12:30 in the Conrad Room of the Wolfe Center. Click on Link TBA for more information and to schedule an audition. Students auditioning for the A Cappella Choir, Collegiate Chorale, or University Choral Society do not need do schedule a separate audition for the University Men’s Chorus.
