BGSU Middle School Academy Band
The Bowling Green State University College of Musical Arts Middle School Academy Band program is an extra-curricular performance opportunity designed specifically for middle school band students in Northwest Ohio. This program includes full group rehearsals, sectional instruction, and elements of comprehensive musicianship, culminating in a performance in BGSU’s own Kobacker Hall. All rehearsals, sectionals, and activities will be led by music education faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students to create an engaging, individualized learning experience that will supplement your child’s school music instruction.
This program is open to any middle school-aged woodwind, brass, or percussion student with at least one full year of formal instruction on their instrument. NO AUDITION IS NECESSARY. We accept all interested students!
A registration fee of $50 for the semester covers all financial obligations with the program. The fee is used for purchasing music, acquiring supplemental supplies, and other related program fees. A limited number of need-based scholarships are available for qualified families. If you are interested in being contacted about applying for one of our limited, need-based scholarships, please indicate so on the online registration form, and you will be contacted.
THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL 22-23 SEASON!
