A State of Ohio 2-year Career Technical Provisional Teaching License is issued to an individual who has been hired to teach in a career-technical education subject area. A 2-year license may be renewed through the state if the individual has made adequate progress (10 credit hours) towards the required 24 university credits in career tech teacher preparation. Individuals who have met all requirements after 4 years will be able to advance to a 5-year Advanced Career Technical Workforce Development Teaching License. BGSU’s State of Ohio approved program is the only one in Ohio that is available as a 100% online program. The courses in this program can be applied toward a master’s degree program in Curriculum and Teaching. The Curriculum and Teaching program is also a 100% online program.
