Brief Biography
Dr. Jared S. Rose has produced over 40 publications in peer-reviewed journals and books, state-wide HIV and STI education curricula, and public-media outlets. He has provided over 130 conference presentations at regional, state, national, and international arenas; has been the invited lecturer, trainer, and keynote speaker over five dozen times; and has given more than 30 educational television and radio broadcasts.

In addition to his work as an author and presenter, Dr. Rose continues to provide clinical mental health services in private practice and has an extensive history in service to his community and the counseling profession, including as Chapter Faculty Advisor for the Beta Gamma Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota (CSI) and elected board member for over 10 years with the Lucas County Human Trafficking Coalition (LCHTC). Dr. Rose has provided service leadership in a variety of roles, including past-president (2017-2019) for the Society for Sexual, Affectional, Intersex, and Gender Expansive Identities (SAIGE, formerly ALGBTIC), and various roles for the Ohio Counseling Association (OCA), the American Counseling Association (ACA), Association for Counselor Education & Supervision (ACES), and Chi Sigma Iota (CSI).

Dr. Rose was awarded the Ned Farley Service Award (2018) and Presidential Service Award (2020 from the Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Issues in Counseling (ALGBTIC); the Leadership & Professional Advocacy Hero Award from Chi Sigma Iota (2020); Professional Leadership Award from the Ohio Counseling Association (2017), Social Justice Leader Award from the Human Trafficking and Social Justice Institute (2017), Ever Learning and Serving Award from Nova Southeastern University’s College of Psychology (2018), and various student-nominated awards and recognitions from Bowling Green State University.
