For nearly a century, the Bowling Green State University School of Art has provided a collaborative environment to nurture creative studies in art and design. Students are encouraged to find and grow their artistic voice through innovative work in one of the five divisions – Art Education, Art History, Digital Arts, Graphic Design, and Studio Arts.

Small class sizes, state of the art facilities, and internationally recognized artists in key faculty positions give BGSU School of Art students the exclusive experience of a private art academy with the affordability and opportunity only a state university can offer.

Whether you’re hoping to network through clubs and exhibitions, learn from one of our many visiting artists, study abroad, or gain valuable hands-on experience through internships, our robust programming can offer what you need in and beyond the classroom. And because BGSU is accredited through the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (since 1984), students can expect rigorous coursework that pushes them to develop highly refined technical and conceptual skills.
