Universities across the country are shining the spotlight on sustainability issues this month in order to spur action for change! Now is the time to turn a new leaf and get involved with sustainability at BGSU through programming across campus Every event you attend or volunteer for will get you a raffle ticket to win a sustainable prize. The more activities and events you attend, the more chances you get to win!

Lunch & Learn with Dr. Arne Spohr | BTSU 207 | 12 - 1 p.m. Join us for free pizza and learn from BGSU Professor of Music History, Dr. Arne Spohr. As part of our Week Without Driving observance in Bowling Green, Dr. Spohr will talk about his many public transportation experiences. His talk will surely regale you as you hear a new perspective on sustainable transportation. |

Campus reStore Open | McDonald Hall Annex | 11 a.m. - 1 pm. The reStore is ready for harvest right after fall break! Regular rules apply: BGSU ID required, one reasonably sized reusable bag. Fall Bike Ride with OAC on the Slippery Elm Trail | 507 E. Reed St. | 3 - 5 p.m. Grab your bike and join us on a free-spirited bike ride as we enjoy the season and embark down the Slippery Elm Trail and back with the Outdoor Adventure Club in honor of Campus Sustainability Month. |

Friday Night Lights(+) | Student Union 2nd floor outside the Theater | 6:30 - 7:15 p.m. Ready, Set, Lights Out! It’s time for Friday Night Lights, an energy reduction program where volunteers turn off lights in academic buildings. |

Green Game Days | Visitor's Center | Various Times Join us at the football games! Volunteers will drive golf carts, interact with the BGSU community and help distribute recycling bags, as well as picking up full bags. Reduce waste, increase recycling, and have fun! On Campus Tree Planting | 10 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. Fall is tree planting season, and what is more sustainable than a beautiful tree? Volunteers will join in the planting of multiple trees. Your impact will serve to sequester carbon and produce oxygen for years to come at BGSU. Supplies will be provided. Signup on BGSUserves required. Event sponsored by the Student Green Initiatives Fund. |

AI Data Centers and Sustainability: Balancing Innovation, Environment, and Society BTSU 207 Mylander Room | 1:15 - 2:15 p.m. This event is part of a day-long symposium on Data Centers in NW Ohio in honor of the 30th anniversary of the BGSU Institute for the Study of Culture & Society. This panel will examine issues such as intensive water use, high energy demands, land use, and resulting pollution. It will also address social concerns, including zoning conflicts, declining property values, rising utility costs, generous tax incentives, inadequate long-term job creation, and limited public input in siting decisions. Ultimately, the panel asks: how sustainable are data centers, and what are their impacts on society, the environment, and the economy? |

Game Night With EAG | Central Hall 1010 | 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. Drop in and join Environmental Action Group for a fun and informative evening of trivia focused on waste reduction and sustainability! Test your knowledge and while learning about waste in our country and on our planet. The winning team members will each get a houseplant prize! No pre-registration required. |

USG Mixer | BTSU 228 (Multi-Purpose Room) | 8 - 9:30 p.m. Campus Sustainability will be there hosting our Know Before You Throw Game and a recycling survey for on-campus residents. Come mingle with current Undergraduate Student Government representatives, enjoy free foods, and connect with many organizations tabling to be entered into their raffle prize drawings. |
