Area of Focus/Research Interests:
Xiaojun Huang is a Toledo-based designer and educator whose creative work focuses on cultural symbolism, experimental typography, and exhibition design. Her work investigates the interplay of Eastern and Western cultural hybridity, challenging visual norms and sparking dialogue through form, space, and meaning. As an educator at Bowling Green State University in Ohio, Huang cultivates curiosity, critical thinking, sensory exploration, and an embrace of uncertainty in the creative process in the classroom. She received her BFA in Book Arts from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and completed her MFA in 2D Design from Cranbrook Academy of Arts
