Adventures in Creative Writing - Summer Camp
Welcome to Adventures in Creative Writing Summer Camp!
Adventures in Creative Writing is a one-week interdisciplinary writing experience for students interested in writing their own poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. Each day students will participate in an activity with a different area on campus including the BGSU Planetarium, the Marine Biology Lab, the BGSU Herpetarium (snakes, lizards, and frogs!), and the Department of Theater & Film. Students will read and discuss materials related to their experience, conduct their own follow-up research to generate ideas, and work with faculty and peers to develop original writing in different genres.

Each day students will venture to a new area on campus in the morning to participate in an activity and reflect on their experience. After lunch, students will discuss readings related to the experience and use writing exercises and their own research to develop original poetry, fiction, and/or creative nonfiction. On the last day of the camp, students will have time to revise their writing for a reading/showcase of their work.
