Parking Lot Maintenance Plans

              Parking Services has planned parking lot maintenance in a continuing effort to maintain our parking lots.  Throughout the month of May and June there will be periodic closures of parking lots as we have our maintenance planned.  Maintenance work will begin the week of April 29, 2024.

Updates: May 3 2024

Lot K

Planned Maintenance:

Parking Lot K will be sealed and striped as part of our summer maintenance.

When will the parking lot be closed?

Parking Lot N will be closed on May 6th while we complete work in the parking lot. 

When will the parking lot be open and usable?

We expect the parking lot to be open again on May 7 2024.

Lot 33

Planned Maintenance:

Parking Lot 33 will be sealed and striped as part of our summer maintenance.

When will the parking lot be closed?

Parking Lot 33 will be closed on May 6th 2024 while we complete work in the parking lot.

When will the parking lot be open and usable?

We expect the parking lot to be open again on May 7 2024.

Lot 1

Planned Maintenance:

Parking Lot 1 will be sealed and striped as part of our summer maintenance.

When will the parking lot be closed?

Parking Lot 1 will be closed on May 8th 2024 while we complete work in the parking lot.

When will the parking lot be open and usable?

We expect the parking lot to be open again on May 9 2024.

Lot N

Planned Maintenance:

Parking Lot N will be crackfilled, sealed, and re-striped. During this time, you will not be able to park in Lot N.  A separate project will be closing Ridge Street at Lot N and Lot O from May 1 to May 3.

When will the parking lot be closed?

Update May 3 2024: Due to weather conditions, Parking Lot N will remain closed for May 4, 2024 in order for maintenance to be completed. 

Parking Lot N will be closed from May 1 to May 3 while we complete our work in the parking lot and the Ridge Street project is completed.

When will the parking lot be opened and usable?

Once our work is complete and the Ridge Street construction is complete we will open the parking lot entrance.  We expect this to be Friday May 3 2024.

Lot Y

Planned Closure:

Parking Lot Y will be closed while a construction project is being completed at the Physical Science Building. During this time, you will not be able to park in Lot Y.  There will be access to the loading dock at Overman Hall and Chemical Storage. The sidewalk from Merry Ave to Lot 6 will be open for use.

When will the parking lot be closed?

Parking Lot Y will be closed starting May 20 and will remain closed for the summer until the construction project is complete.

When will the parking lot be opened and usable?

Lot Y will remain closed for the summer.  Once the construction project is complete the parking lot will be able to reopen.

Where is available parking located

Additional Faculty/Staff parking close to that area is available in Lot R, Lot 5, Lot J, and Lot 8. Please refer to our campus map https://map.bgsu.edu/?id=652#!ct/

Lot H

Planned Impact:

Parking Lot H will be reduced capacity while a construction project is being completed in that area. During this time, a temporary entrance will be placed at the northeast corner of the parking lot and the main entrance will be closed. The parking lot will be able to be used and will have reduced capacity. Be aware of increased construction traffic and dust in this area as well.    

When will the impact begin?

This project will begin in Late May.

When will the parking lot be opened and usable?

Lot H will remain at reduced capacity for the summer.  Once the construction project is complete the parking lot will be able to fully open.

Where is available parking located
