Ryan Albrecht is the Technical Director/Designer of the Moore Musical Arts Center and manages/designs for Kobacker Hall, Bryan Hall, Kelly Hall, Choral Hall, and Conrad Hall. He is a two-time BGSU Alum from the Department of Theatre & Film (BA '13, MA '15).
Ryan is an award-winning Theatrical Designer & Director. He previously was the Technical Director and Building Manager for Bowling Green High School's Performing Arts Center where he designed 2 "pilot" productions in association with Disney Theatricals, Newsies: The Musical and Peter and the Starcatcher.
Selected Academic accomplishments include: Masterclass Presenter at American Alliance for Theatre & Education National Conference and at the Educational Theatre Association national conference, "STEAM Education through Technical Theatre & Puppetry." Ohio State Thespian Conference Full Show Selection (4x). Published in EdTA’s Dramatics "Technical Theatre as STEAM Education.” Contributor to “Temporary Stages III: How High School Theatre Fosters Spiritual Strength and Critical Consciousness” by JoBeth Gonzalez and recipient of the 2026 Research Excellence Distinguished award from the Educational Theatre Association.
He is also an accomplished stage performer and has toured through the Midwest in children's & teaching theatre. Performances in regional productions were described as 'Soul-Stirring,” "Riveting," and "A performance I'll never forget."
