Dhiman’s research explores how communication tools affect public life and how such tools can be used to drive sustainable change among different groups & communities. His dissertation examines breaking crime news on social media & their effect on journalistic practices, challenges, and possible solutions. A former newspaper & online journalist, his academic projects have won multiple top student paper awards at NCA, and AEJMC. Other projects have been accepted for publication as part of scholarly books, and peer reviewed journals. He is a current SMC Excellence Award holder, and was BGSU’s Outstanding International Student of the Year in 2015-16
