Falcon Impact Award

The Falcon Impact Award recognizes a current administrative staff member, office, or team composed primarily of administrative staff whose work has made meaningful, positive contributions at BGSU in ways that may not fit neatly into other Administrative Staff Council award categories.

This award highlights exceptional efforts that strengthen the University community through collaboration, mentorship, creativity, leadership, or service, particularly when those efforts extend beyond an individual’s normal responsibilities or create a positive ripple effect across campus.

Award includes:

  • $200
  • Recognition at the Administrative Staff Awards Banquet
  • Award noted in personnel file and shared with supervisor and/or VP

Deadline for 2025-26 nominations is April 3, 2026.

  • Current full-time or part-time administrative staff member
  • Cannot have received the award in the previous year
  • Team nominations are welcome, provided that at least 75% of the team members are administrative staff.
  • Projects involving cross-functional collaboration may be considered, but the award will be given to the administrative staff member(s) or office leading or driving the impact.

This award celebrates the wide variety of ways our colleagues strengthen the University community through creativity, leadership, collaboration, mentorship, service or innovation.

Think about individuals or teams who have:

  • Made a measurable or visible positive difference for a unit, department or the broader BGSU community.
  • Led or inspired a project or initiative that strengthened engagement and a sense of campus community.
  • Modeled mentorship, creativity or service that empowers others or enhances the workplace culture.
  • Built connections across units, departments or communities that exemplify the Falcon spirit.
