Faculty and Staff Parking Permits

Permits are available on an annual, academic and semester basis for faculty and staff. Annual permits are the most cost-effective permit option. Faculty and staff can see which permits are available at bgsu.aimsparking.com. All permit requests are processed in "real time" and are active immediately. Please note: credit cards are accepted online and a convenience fee will be assessed. Payments may be made in the office using credit card, cash or check.

Employees that work on campus but are not paid by BGSU are required to obtain a permit to park on campus. The pricing options are the same as a BGSU employee.  Contact Parking Services if there are questions.

Your state-issued license plate on your vehicle serves as your permit. Per policy, vehicles must be parked so that the state-issued license plate is unobstructed, clearly visible, and readable by license plate recognition from the drive aisles in all parking lots. Backing in or pulling through parking spaces is not permitted without a visible front license plate. See Parking Rules and Regulations for more details.

Disability Parking

In order to park using a disability placard in any campus lot, a parking permit is required along with your disability placard. To maintain accessible, appropriate and adequate parking for those with a state-issued disability placard or disability plate, registration is required with Parking Services. This can be done in the office or online.

To register your permit, we need copies of the following:

  • The Certificate of Registration. This can be one of two things: If you have a disability placard that hangs from your rearview mirror, this is the registration that comes with the placard. If you have a disability license plate, it would be the vehicle’s registration.
  • A color copy of your placard.
  • A color copy of your State Issued ID.
