NowOH art winners on display at BG gallery

The Bowling Green State University Fine Arts Center Galleries and the Bowling Green Convention and Visitors Bureau have teamed up to present an art exhibition featuring award-winning art from the 12th annual Northwest Ohio Community Art Show (NowOH), held this summer at BGSU. The work by the winning artists will be displayed Oct. 4-25 at the Four Corners Center, 130 S. Main St.

Artists whose work will be displayed are Wood County residents Emily Averitt, Sarah Compton, Amy Fell, Ileana Hernandez, Elyse Herrera, Jennifer Marcson, Tom Muir, Joel O’Dorisio, Kim Turner-Young, and Lucas County residents Adwowa Obeng-Osei and Isabel Zeng. The juror for the NowOH show was Dan McInnis, an assistant lecturer at the University of Toledo’s Jesup Scott Honors College and an artist who specializes in photography and two-dimensional design. 
An opening reception will be held Friday (Oct. 4) from 4-6 p.m. at the Four Corners Center. Guests will be able to talk with the artists, enjoy refreshments and listen to music by Lucy Long.

Four Corners Center gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
