Slater Family Ice Arena is excited to provide various opportunities for student engagement. During our Weeks of Welcome, all events from August 25th through October 3rd will be FREE for all students who present a valid BGSU student ID.
Student Skates
Our student skates provide an enjoyable, unique experience for all students regardless of skill. Whether you have never skated or have been skating your whole life, everyone is welcome! Beat the heat and join us this Fall!
Broomball
What is broomball you ask? Broomball is a sport similar to ice hockey, but played without skates, using a ball instead of a puck, and a broom-shaped stick. It's a team sport where players tru to score by hitting the ball into the opposing team's net using the broom. All students are invited to stop in and play! If you're interested in some fun, athletic events, stop by and give broomball a try!
