Volunteers and Interns

Are you interested in becoming involved with the food pantry? We would love to have you join our team.

Volunteering at the food pantry as an intern is a one semester commitment of approximately 3-5 hours per week. Interns assist during the pantry’s operating hours, process donations, work in the community garden, organize events about food insecurity, develop recipes, work on social media and more! There will be many opportunities for professional development as well. We are looking for students who are interested in food insecurity and have a passion for making a difference on our campus.

Many of our interns use this experience as course credit or as an internship for their programs. We are happy to work with you to ensure you can meet those requirements.

Graduate assistants receive a stipend and partial tuition scholarship and manage the food pantry. Graduate assistants are responsible for day to day management including supervising interns, developing programs to end food insecurity, managing inventory and overseeing publicity including social media.
